Why Micro Greens?
Microgreens are young plants harvested after just a few weeks of growth. Despite their small size, they are packed with nutrients: vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, which can help to support overall health and wellbeing.
Microgreens have a concentrated flavor, to boost your your meals and they're a great way to experiment with new flavors and try different combinations of herbs and spices. Incorporating microgreens into your culinary experience can provide a variety of essential nutrients & flavor in a small serving size.
Super Nutrition
Microgreens are known for their high nutrient density, which is the concentration of nutrients per unit of food. Studies have shown that microgreens can contain up to 40 times more nutrients than their mature counterparts.

The Creative Kitchen
Microgreens are versatile. They come in a variety of flavors and colors, making them a versatile ingredient in many dishes. Use microgreens as a garnish, add to salads, burgers, sandwiches, smoothies, or even as a topping for pizza or tacos.
Energy Source Farms
& Micro Greens and Spicy Things
Our family farm legacy roots on our grandfather's farm in North Carolina. Energy Source Farms is the parent company of our sibling duo's interdependent ventures & vision.
Brother, grows a variety of crops on many acres in Nevada, near the California border. He's on a mission to provide fresh organically grown produce to nearby food insecure communities.
Sister, is an urban farmer based in Los Angeles. In LA, her hydroponic farm, Micro Greens & Spicy Things, is inspired by her devotion to health and wellbeing. "It's about nature being our guide". She started an urban farm so she could participate in growing too. "Microgreens and hydroponics is something that I could accomplish where I am." Her goal for the upcoming season is to sell her flavorful nutrient dense products online, in local CSA’s, at farmers markets, boutique grocery stores, cafes and restaurants.
Both growers create spice blends created from the chilis Brother grows on his farm in Nevada. Both farmers greater missions are to serve their local underserved communities with garden and nutrition education.
